AIM: We are trying to research the key concept of place, its part in the National Curriculum and what it means to us. This is what will be identified using this blog.
Place is an understanding of the physical and human characteristics of real places, and within education the aim is to develop 'geographical imaginations' of places.
Every place has unique physical and human characteristics which can be interpreted and represented in different ways. Recognising that there are many different perceptions of place is a good starting point as starting enquiries are based on real places.
